Straight pipe pressure balanced bellows expansion joint

The straight pipe pressure balance compensator is composed of one bellows and two end connections. It absorbs the axial displacement of the pipeline through the flexible deformation of the bellows (there are also a small amount of lateral and angular displacement), and the end pipe is directly welded with the pipe nozzle, or welded with the flange and then connected with the pipe flange. The small tie rod on the expansion joint is mainly used as rigid support during transportation or as pre deformation adjustment of product, it is not a load-bearing part.
There is a working bellows at both ends of the straight pipe pressure balance compensator and a balance bellows in the middle. The straight pipe pressure balance compensator can bear the internal pressure thrust through the stressed components (big pull rod or tongue tube), so the pipe system only needs the middle fixed support. This kind of bellows expansion joint can only absorb axial displacement.

Compensator is also known as expansion joint, or expansion joint. It is composed of bellows (an elastic element) and accessories such as end pipe, bracket, flange and conduit. It belongs to a compensation element. The effective expansion and contraction deformation of bellows is used to absorb the size change caused by thermal expansion and cold contraction of pipelines, pipes and vessels, or to compensate the axial, transverse and angular displacement of pipelines, conduits and containers. It can also be used for noise reduction and vibration reduction. It is widely used in modern industry.
Compensator is also called expansion joint, expansion joint and corrugated compensator. Compensator is divided into: ripple compensator, sleeve compensator, rotary compensator, square natural compensator and other types.
Pressure range of expansion joint: the pressure of various expansion joints is the design pressure PD (MPA) when t = 20 ℃. The pressure range is usually from vacuum to 4MPa. If there is special ultra-high pressure requirement, we can also design it specially. Before each product leaves the factory, 100% pressure test and other inspection requirements shall be conducted for each process, and the product can be delivered only after meeting the standard requirements.
1、 Temperature range of expansion joint: according to different working conditions of customers, other materials can also be used. When the material of connecting pipe and inner liner is carbon steel, the working temperature range of expansion joint is - 20 ℃ - 420 ℃; when the material of connecting pipe and lining cylinder is stainless steel (the same as bellows), the temperature range of products is - 196 ~ 700 ℃.
2、 Type selection of expansion joints: among the series of expansion joints produced by our factory, the axial expansion joints are used to absorb the axial displacement of the pipeline; the transverse expansion joints are used to absorb the transverse displacement perpendicular to the axis of the expansion joints; the general-purpose and small tie rod transverse types can absorb the displacement in 2-3 directions; the angular expansion joints are used with two or three supporting devices to absorb one direction or more directions of a single plane The universal angle expansion joint is also used in 2-3 sets, which can absorb the multi-directional lateral displacement in the space system. The main factors that must be considered in the selection of expansion joint are: pipe nominal diameter DN - joint size or flange standard and its connection size. Working pressure P - should be made p ≤ PD (design pressure), and stress evaluation should be carried out for bellows. Working temperature T - check the design temperature by considering the temperature correction coefficient. The material and the medium depend on the temperature. Compensation - indicate the direction and magnitude of the displacement to be compensated (axial, transverse, angular). Service life or replacement life. Whether there is a pressure and thrust restraint mechanism of expansion joint, which can bear the pressure and thrust, can be selected from the constrained type and the unconstrained type.

Application and scope:

Compensation system axial displacement, internal pressure and thrust self balance, this product can be used in high material level straight pipeline or large diameter pipeline which is not suitable to set fixed support.
The products are widely used in petroleum, chemical, steel, metallurgy, machinery, transportation, shipping, wharf, construction, rubber, paper, textile, electric heating network, pharmaceutical, medical and other industries.

Notes for installation and use of straight pipe pressure balance compensator:
1. The straight pipe pressure balance type bellows compensator (expansion joint) is generally used in the overhead straight pipe line and installed horizontally.
2. After the installation of straight pipe pressure balance bellows compensator (expansion joint), all small tie rods must be removed.
3. In order to reduce the elastic reaction force of bellows expansion joint on the support, the bellows expansion joint can be pre stretched or pre pressed before installation (it can be achieved by adjusting the small pull rod on it).
